Standard AIS 1/2018 provides criteria to design and/or evaluate the spaces and services used by individuals.
Schemes

New Construction
Applicable to designs and construction done.
Level of requirement according to the actual regulation for New Buildings.

Constructed
Applicable to construction done.
Level of requirement according to the actual regulation for pre-existing built environment.
Grading
Grades are“ranges” that match with a certain level of perceptible benefits for the users. Most requirements are in between a grading range.

The grading system allowS us to show and enhance the value of:

If a facility or the services provided in such facility has accessible elements to benefit from usability, comfort, and safety.
If these accessible elements are aligned with the current legal requirements.
If these accessible elements really solve the prevalent needs in our society.
The improvement and progress opportunities to be encouraged.
The Five Levels
