Fundación para la Accesibilidad y la Responsabilidad Social is a private and non-profit entity that has been developing social projects and initiatives for more than 40 years.
Our goal is to facilitate social integration for every single person by respecting and evaluating the differences among people. To achieve this goal, the following objectives are pursued:

Years of experience in the diversity field, the design, and the elaboration of Plans and Social Projects makes us work each day to achieve "a better world"
The Fundation's areas of activity are:
1st- I+D+I oriented to the Standardization and generation of Accessibility Certification standards.
The result of years of research are the certification standards that the Foundation has created and that is constantly improving:
- 2012 Technical Specifications ET-DIGA-IMQ 2012
- 2015 DIGA 1/2015 Regulation for Built Environment, DIGA 2/2015 Regulation for Digital Environment.
- 2018: AIS 1/2018 Regulation for Built Environment, AIS 2/2018 Regulation for Digital Environment, AIS 3/2018 Regulation for products.
2nd- Joint efforts and research studies with designers and manufacturers, by supporting their initiatives to make feasible the creation of new products and services.
The aim pursued by the investigations developed by the ARS Foundation is to provide an answer to the needs in the field of accessible solutions, as well as to make sure that the AIS system can give an answer to the global casuistic of most of the projects and typologies in different environments, services, or existing products.
Following the pursue of this aim the Foundation signs collaboration and research agreements with the most outstanding entities that currently manufacture or develop products that emphasizes in a substantial way Accessibility, products such as lifting platforms, accessible signaling and labelling, management systems, access control, furniture…
3rd- Impulse, promote and tutor entities that carry out consultancy and implementing services of the AIS system Regulations.
The Foundation establishes relationships with other companies and entities that have the capacity to implement the Regulations. By doing so, it focuses the effort on increasing the number of AIS Pre-qualifications and Certifications (Accessibility Indicator System), and therefore helping to create a much fair and egalitarian society for everyone, by normalizing and harmonizing Accessibility.
The opening of the System started back in 2018, with the aim of providing society with a group of trained and approved technicians that work for independent and authorized companies that would give the AIS Certification a better chance to develop and more transparency..
4th-Training for Approved Technical staff.
ARS Foundation offers Basic Training courses to achieve implementation of regulations and provide approved technician with the knowledge to do so. It also offers a program to improve skills for the approved technicians to make the AIS system an inner reality.
